Yuletide letter

Dear Yuletide Writer,

Thank you for offering at least one of my fandoms!

If you're the sort of writer who doesn't need prompts, feel free to ignore what I'm saying here. After all, the rules state that you don't *have* to pay attention to any of this.

Request 1: Abbey Girls - Maidlin, Ros
Maidlin/Rosamund or Maidlin&Rosamund (ie, f/f or gen friendship) are both perfectly fine. Even better would be Maid/Ros around about the time of "Rosamund's Victory", but before Ros is engaged; involving the Rose and Squirrel.

I love all eras of Abbey Girls (but am not really a fan of the retrospectives all that much, even though I love how the Abbey itself is developed through them), and the only major characters I come close to disliking are Joy (for her self-absorbtion) and Jandy-Mac (who I also love, but dislike for her displacing of Jen in Joan's heart in the retrospectives). I adore the Twins (unlike most,) so I'd prefer no Twin-bashing if the Twins are around.

But basically, like my original request says - anything about Maid and Ros. Friendship, femslash, growing apart, growing closer, Ros as Countess, Maid's singing career... really just anything. My own Abbey Girls fic is here, right at the top, if that helps you.

Request 2: St Trinians (2007) - Annabelle, Kelly, Polly
Annabelle/Kelly with Polly cooking up some sort of grand scheme and a cameo or two by the Posh Totty (especially if you can come up with a Posh Totty who specialises in female aristocrats) would be utterly grand. Post-movie is awesome, feel free to crossover with any heist or con fandom you like if such an idea tickles your fancy.

... I'm thinking "Hustle" in particular, given that it's British. I've seen a bit of Leverage, but no White Collar, although that will probably have been rectified before Christmas. Where I say "post-movie is awesome", that should be read as including "but during movie is also awesome."

To be very basic about it, anything Annabelle/Kelly will be loved and adored. My one and only St Trinian's fic contains a comment thread that may provide other potential prompts.

Request 3: CHERUB - Lauren
An adventure starring Lauren. Any other characters you like (Rat and Kerry are particular favourites of mine.) My one issue with CHERUB is that it seems to be so often about the boys - I'd love it if someone gave the girls some love. Speaking of which, if you feel like going beyond gen, Lauren/Rat or Lauren/f is fine, keeping her with a member of her peer group, please.

The 'peer group' comment was the only way I could think of at the time to say "no underaged sex, no advantage-taking by older people." Because I always love slightly bizarre crossovers, if you feel up to working in people either from Spooks or from Muchamore's Henderson Boys [+ Rosemary] that would also be cool. I feel like I'm not giving you much help here. I'm sorry!

Request 4: 'Allo, 'Allo - Helga
A few potential prompts: what was Helga's life like before she signed up? To what extent does she really believe in Kinder, Kuche, Kirche (Children, Kitchen, Church)? Does she have a younger sister in the Bund Deutsche Madel - or was she part of the Bund before the war? What happens to her after the war - and why does she end up marrying Gruber? Is she in East or West Berlin when the Wall goes up?

Helga is totally awesome. Okay, so her attraction to Herr Flick never really made sense to me, and nor does the fact that she ends up with Gruber, although I have my own theories on that one. I hope that the prompts I've provided give you some ideas. I'm a German History nut, particularly the war and post-war periods, although I doubt I know enough detail to recognise if anything is "wrong", so don't be intimidated.

I hope that gives you some reassurance and some help with the whole process.

All the best with the Yuletide panic,
