This is a leftover 40 fandoms/52 fandoms idea that has finally been written. And so it turns out that my first fic for the year was in none of the fandoms I thought it would be (Downton Abbey, Tangled, Upstairs Downstairs...)

How awesome is the new Kudos button on the archive? Yay for the removal of feedback performance anxiety!

Meanwhile, here is the beautemous story that was written for me:

I need to come up with a Blue Bloods icon for myself.

Anyway - I've been reading the Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz, and I have a question: why does this series not have a fandom?

It really *ought* to have a fandom, after all, it has:
- vampires
- immortal love triangles
- canon 'cest pairings (I kid you not - and more than one!)
- protagonists who are ridiculously rich, beautiful, intelligent, powerful, talented, and snarky.

Meanwhile, I want there to be a fandom because I'm only in the second book and I badly want to write:
- Bliss/Schulyer (probably my OTP, which is... problematic given the latest revelation...)
- Bliss/Mimi, and
- Mimi/Schulyer

I have a whole femslash backstory/mythos forming in my head right now, centered on Bliss/Schuyler, but staring out with the Bliss/Mimi that I'm already writing. So far it actually fits canon, but kind of turns it upside down at the same time. So now I have to make the decision whether to keep reading, and risk being Jossed, or stop reading, write my fic, and then go back (to find out that I've been Jossed).

Either way, there will be Bliss/Mimi coming soon - maybe by the end of the weekend? And more rich girl vampire femslash after that, I expect.

Title: Coming of Age
Fandom: Jane Austen – “Emma”
Characters: Emma Woodhouse & Jane Fairfax
Rating: G
Summary: During Jane’s visits to her grandmother, Jane and Emma were often together – first playing at tea parties and later discussing books and flowers and embroidery silks and walking the grounds of Hartfield with their arms companionably around each other’s waists.
Warnings: None needed.

Notes: Possibly doesn't really fit with canon. Also it would require a fair bit of squinting to see this as anything beyond Special Friends-y. The idea came from a prompt I picked up from somewhere. I'm sure the requester was expecting something slashier than this. Fandom #9 for [community profile] 52fandoms.
